Underworld Ambush Ep9

• Our Heroes, traveling without a Companion or Mage are ambushed by an Ape-Man Captain, who leads several Half-Men and a captive mage. The mage appeared to be an Underworld woman.
• Our Heroes dispatched the Half-Men and as they fought the dangerous Ape-Man, the mage, whose appearance was revealed to Faolan to be a young adult Northwoman, asked him to save her.
• Despite serious injury to Tanner, who has bad luck with Ape-Men, Our Heroes followed the Captain and the Mage through the Underworld portal that she left open for them.
• After they dispatched yet another posse of Half-Men, Faolan showed off the benefit of his recent exercise, running down the Apeman as he fled along the Underworld's flagstone road. Realizing that he couldn't get away, the big bastard stopped, staked the mage to the road, and turned to fight the good guys.
• Our Heroes defeated the Ape-Man in a classic fight that featured yet another gaping chest wound for Tanner. Faolan dispatched the beast and, after tending to Tanner, they freed the mage. She brought them back to Anglia's plane through another portal.
• They learned her name was Regan and that she had be captive in the underworld for as many as six years (as Anglia's plane measures the passage of time) .
