The "Rescue" of Pasha at Prospect
When Pasha and his caravan failed to show up for their expected return trip south, Jake began to get antsy, and started investigating. There was a rumor going around that Pasha's caravan had been stopped by Redlegs, and that Pasha was being held in an abandoned mine near Prospect.
Tanner had some contacts amongst Lord Wallace's men, and was able to find out a few more details, but not much, as Wallace's men were staying well clear of the Redlegs.
On _ we headed up the Tarstone Road, made the turnoff for Prospect, and moved towards the old mining area, staying off the road. After a spell, we came upon a clearing around the abandoned mine. Pasha's caravan arrived and began to make camp as we looked on. Nothing looked amiss, save the fact that the caravan was being guarded by Redlegs and Pasha was no where in sight. We waited and watched, until Crusty, the caravan cook, walked right up behind us, catching us unawares. We pulled him aside and he answered our questions as best he could, which unfortunately was not well. He didn't know why they were there, other than it was what the Redlegs had told them to do. He wasn't sure what the situation was, but that Pasha was being held in one of the old mines.
We did a pretty poor job of sneaking around to find the mine entrance, but fortunately the Redlegs weren't expecting any trouble, and they mistook Zen for a drunken caravan guard who'd gotten lost. Once we got into the mine, Zen cast 'Walk Unseen' on us, and we moved down into the complex. Faolan found Pasha, who appeared to be the subject of a Redleg captain's interrogation. Faolan crept close and sapped the captain, knocking him unconscious. He then, in reference to the sumptuous feast laid out before him, advised Pasha "You might want to get that to go".
Pasha, annoyed at this interruption, explained that he wanted to be held here, and that he was manipulating the situation to his advantage. Confused, we snuck back out and returned to Brown's Ferry. A great many political changes seemed to happen over the next few weeks, and when Pasha next passed through Brown's Ferry, his caravan was guarded by a combination of Lord Evans' men, Redlegs, and some Frontier Militia.
