Regan of Clan Connaught

A red-haired Northwoman that Faolan and Tanner rescued from Hell, where she was held by Shem, a Tribal Captain in the Underworld, and forced to serve him as a Slave Witch. She appears to be a slim, frail, young woman.

Regan says that her father was/is a Northmen Ship Captain named Crow's Eye. She has a twin brother named Galen Connaught, and an uncle named Lockley Connaught

She is a powerful mage who seems to be able to manipulate the inky blackness of Underworld Magic, as well as heal.

Regan appears to be addicted to wormwood, which she mixes with her drinks.

She has befriended Gilda, and allowed her to adopt her as an elder sister might. She often finds her way into Faolan's bed, but purely for sleep. Gilda finds this amusing.

Faolan has been very protective of Regan, telling many folks that they should "think of her as my sister".

Faolan considered taking Regan back to the Frontier, if she decided that she didn't want him to escort her back to her homeland.

In the spring of 2436 Regan escorted Our Heroes north to pay The Price to the Northmen. Her magical power was key in driving off the Kaluut attack on The Falls. Along with Tanner and Faolan she judged the story-telling competition that resulted in Jock Ryan being chosen First Gael.

Regan had respected/loved Jock Ryan since she was a child before being taken by the Underworld. Despite her deep affection and appreciation of Our Heroes, she decided to accept Ryan's offer to become his First Mage as he assumed his leadership position and stay with her people.
