Jock Ryan

Jock has dark reddish hair and light blue eyes. Though likely in his late 50's or early 60's, he still stands straight and tall, and he appears quite hale.

The only man to twice serve as First Gael, Jock was a noted raider in his youth, and was noted for being brave, bold, and brash. Though he was still quite young when he first ascended, his reign was regarded as a success, in terms of maintaining peace between the Clans, as well as in terms of the economics of raiding. He resigned in disgrace after murdering his brother in a dispute over a woman. He then spent five years at sea without returning. He finally returned and resumed his place as elder of Clan Ryan.

He was selected to his second term as First Gael in a story-telling competition, judged by Our Heroes and Regan. Regan went on to become Jock's personal mage.

Jock is the father of Lord Gahanna, though this is not known in Anglia, or at least not spoken aloud. Jock has never seen Gahanna, but had a tryst with Lady Gahanna when she accompanied the previous Lord Gahanna to deliver The Price many years ago.
