Gilda

A tall, physically imposing, and beautiful Northwoman who became Faolan's lover in the Spring of 2435, when he visited Martin's Ferry in Episode 8 (after she attacked, it was fuck her or kill her).

Apparently, she was once married to a member of Lord Gahanna's Host, but left him to work for Gahanna as a scullery maid, which she seemed to enjoy. Most of the men of Martin's Ferry seem to be afraid of her, though we don't know the whole story on that.

She has taught Faolan a bit of the Northmen tongue, and has begun educating him in the culture of his unknown father's people.

In 2438 Gilda had married an NCO in Gahanna's Host, but has, during a visit that same year, continued her dalliance with Faolan, though she made it clear that it would be no more than that. The money that Faolan had planned to give her ended up being spent rebuilding Big Jack's.
