The Funeral on the Brown
Faolan had decided that the disgrace of the Frontier's fallen leaders could be endured no longer. He decided that the site of the Treachery on the Brown must be cleansed and that the fallen heroes should be properly laid to rest. Samson eagerly agreed to accompany his friend, and a pact was made to make a similar trip to Bexar. The lure of gain, combined with the opportunity to show off his engineering skills persuaded Tanner to join the group as well.
At sunset on (insert date here) Faolan rode down and planted the Green Banner of the Frontier in the midst of the ruins, swearing that the sun would never again set on this ground without it being properly consecrated.
Tanner's mastery of Sunfire, and his knowledge of construction were put to good use as a huge pyre was built, befitting the memory of heroes. While Tanner and Samson built the structure, Faolan reverently tended the bodies (only mildly soiling himself when the body's spirits showed up wanting to know what the FUCK was going on).
Faolan had the opportunity to speak with the ghosts of both John Brown and Blaine, as well as others that he did not recognize. While they decided what to do to Faolan, the ghosts had him empty his pockets, and Faolan used that opportunity to establish that he knew Miss Macon, and was here with her approval. John Brown asked if she had been overlooking the River when they'd last spoke, an Faolan answered, "Yes, at sunset". This seemed to satisfy the revenant, and after bidding Faolan to "Tell her John says hello", the ghosts were gone. Faolan placed all 12 bodies (including Brown, Blaine, and Miss Macon), and all of their belongings on the grand pyre constructed by his comrades.
Just before Sunset on (insert date here), the Sunfire was ignited, and a fiery apocalypse consumed all, literally leaving nothing but ash.
Faolan later noticed a fine gold chain, adorned with a emerald-encrusted golden dragon had mysteriously appeared in the pocket of his coat. Without a second thought, he presented it to Miss Macon at the first available opportunity. She glowed when it was presented to her, though she said not a word.
