The Frontier Council Elections of 2438

In 2438, Our Heroes had had enough. The merchants were buying influence, and attempting to curry favor with the Anglian government. Many 'Greenbacks' were grumbling about the growing presence and influence of the Redlegs along the Frontier.

Tanner was a leading figure in a coalition of candidates who ran on a separatist platform. Despite determined interference by King Regent Davies, the Green Dragon Party swept to victory.

During the polling at Hempstead's Farm, 25 Redlegs and 250 Anglian soldiers attempted to squash Tanner's candidacy. They utilized methods that included, arrest of Tanner's friends, intimidation, bribery, bringing in voters from outside the district, and direct threats. By staging a fight, the bad guys established a pretense under which they arrested Faolan, and after the polling was completed, they arrested Tanner, with plans of torturing and killing him. Our Heroes made a miraculous escape with the aid of Petra.

Despite becoming an outlaw, Tanner managed to be sworn by outgoing Council president Sasha Brown. He continued to elude capture, and appointed Voss Branwell as he proxy.

In the post-election unpleasantness, Seth Adams managed to bribe Anglian officers to spare East Point from burning.
