Frehitnsang -The Song of Freedom

Faolan's first gift from the Chest of Longing. This bastard sword has a long, unusually narrow damascened blade that curves upward towards the tip. The white pommel stone is carved into the likeness of a snarling wolf's head. The extended grip is wrapped in a silver-colored wire and a strange greyish-black animal skin that is not typical leather, and reminds Faolan of Fayte's belt.

When Faolan pulled the blade from the Chest of Longing, the blade's name, which is in the Northmen tongue, was known to and understood by him, despite his total lack of knowledge of that language. He does not understand how this happened.
