Episode 13

Starts December 8, 2437.

Dec 8:

2 couriers arrive. The first, an Anglian courier, bearing letters for both Faolan and Tanner. Tanner received an invitation to join the Clergy of Petain. Faolan received correspondence from Arabella, detailing the current political situation in Anglia City and the rise of the late Queen Anne as a religious figure.

The second courier is a young Bexari man named Joseph Blackeyes. He was been sent by King Samson, the new king of the New Bexari Empire, to be educated in Frontier culture, politics, and technology. He was also instructed to present Tanner with a pair of enchanted Bexari knives.

Our Heroes welcomed young Joseph into their company, and Faolan did his best to prevent Tanner from over-indulging in melancholy drunkenness (largely by persuading him to over-indulge in a patriotic binge of drinking and whoring).

While traveling through Helena, Tanner goes to see the fortune teller Xara. Xara tells him that he will have to sacrifice his own personal happiness for the greater good in the future. After the fortune telling, Xara beds Tanner.
