The Chest of Longing

• A large wooden chest that Our Heroes recovered from the charred remains of the baggage train at the Treachery on the Brown/Dragon's Garden at the behest of Miss Macon, who gave it to them without telling them what it was.
• When the chest is given to someone, they may ask it for any two items, in very general terms. It was apparently enchanted to be used to reward heroes.
• Asking it for precious metals or gems does not work and the usual admonitions that go along with wishes would seem to apply. However, careful wording is discouraged, so one must simply trust the Chest.
• Madame identified the chest for Our Heroes and provided them with the necessary folklore. It made her nervous by its very existence and particularly so by the fact that they kept it in her basement.
• It now serves as a table in the longhouse at East Point.
