Anglia Campaign World Book Additions:

- Slavery exists in the Kingdom of Anglia, but is not recognized in

the south by Frontier Councils. It was one of the issues of the

"recent difficulties' as the war is called are called. There are not

plantations, but a lot of personal servants, a lot of govt. civil

servants, and soldiers and some gladiators who are slaves in the north

- more of a Roman concept of slavery.

- Distance is usually measure in 'leagues' (about 3 miles) and in

'paces' (about a meter/yard). There are about 5000 paces in a league.

"'Those evil Redleg mages were seen about half a league north of here." "About 50 paces down the dungeon tunnel a torch flickered."

- There are no compasses, no mechanical clocks, but there are

sundials, but it takes a little rangering to be near exact. Cities

will often have hourly bells that ring based on sundial hours.

- There are very few publicly available good maps, particularly of the

south. People land navigate by handmade maps and ancient roads.

- There are no openly active printing presses, but there stories of

great libraries held by the King and the Church that no one you know

has ever seen.
